Abstract: Indonesia is one of the largest archipelagic country in the world. Where most of the islands are being connected by sea transportations. For this peculiar reason, auxiliary infrastructures are needed to support the need for sea transportation in Indonesia, for instance, ports and docks. Ports are needed especially for underdeveloped regions with means to connect each region thus the regions are able to fulfill their needs. The necessity to fulfill its required needs is the fundamental reason for the making of the loading and unloading port in Tanimbar Island Regency, Maluku Province, namely the Saumlaki Port.
The scope of design consists of determining the dock and trestle dimensions, structural modeling, structural reinforcement design, and calculation of soil capacity. The largest vessel that can be docked in Saumlaki is 2.500 DWT. The structural design is analyzed using SAP2000 for structural modeling. From the results of the dock dimension planning, the dock length is determined to be 98 m with a width of 12,5 m connected to an 60 m long bridge with a width of 6 m. The largest UCR (Unity Check Ratio) value for the dock structure is 0.92 and the bridge structure is 0.91.
