Abstract: Mooring system is a sea-keeping structure to withstand the load effect of environment on floating structures, so that the floating structures will not exceed the design criterion. After the mooring system have met the end of service life, assuming there is still oil reserve in the location, the replacement of the mooring system shall be made that the operation will keep going on. The main parameters of the analysis are tension on the cable and the response of the vessel. In this case study, is it mandatory to create models of the floating structures to gain the hydrodynamic properties and RAO of the model. Environmental loads used here are regular wave and random wave with JONSWAP theoretical spectrum. There are two major parts of the analysis: Mooring Installation and Mooring Operation. The analysis shall be made regarding the API RP2SK and DNV OS301 design criterion for tension and response of the vessel. In conclusion, tension at fairlead in mooring installation fit the design criterion, and response and tension of the floating structure in intact condition fits the design criterion, however the response of floating structure in damage condition exceed the design criterion.
